Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Usage Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and guidelines for using ESK Hosting’s services, including web hosting, domain registration, email hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, reseller hosting, and related services ("Services"). By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Prohibited Activities

You may not use our Services to engage in, promote, or facilitate any of the following activities:

  • Illegal Activities: Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Spam & Unsolicited Messages: Sending bulk, unsolicited, or deceptive emails, messages, or postings (spam).
  • Malware & Harmful Code: Distributing viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious software.
  • Abuse & Threats: Harassment, abuse, threats, stalking, or encouraging harm to others.
  • Copyright & Intellectual Property Infringement: Hosting, sharing, or distributing content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
  • Phishing & Fraud: Impersonating others, phishing, or engaging in fraudulent or deceptive practices.
  • Resource Abuse: Excessive use of server resources that disrupts the normal operation of our Services or impacts other users (e.g., CPU, memory, bandwidth abuse, mining cryptocurrency).
  • Unauthorized Access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, networks, or data.
  • Child Exploitation: Hosting, sharing, or distributing child sexual abuse material or content that exploits or harms minors.
  • Objectionable Content: Hosting or distributing content that is obscene, defamatory, hateful, or promotes violence or discrimination.
  • Adult Content: Hosting, sharing, or distributing pornography or sexually explicit material is strictly prohibited.
  • Export Violations: Violating export control laws or regulations.

2. Email & Messaging

  • All email sent using our Services must comply with anti-spam laws (e.g., CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, etc.).
  • Do not use our Services to send unsolicited bulk email or to operate open mail relays.
  • Phishing, spoofing, or misrepresenting sender identity is strictly prohibited.

3. Security & Network Integrity

  • Do not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without authorization.
  • Do not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our Services or networks.
  • Do not use our Services to launch denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.

4. Resource Usage

  • Use resources (CPU, memory, bandwidth, storage) within the limits of your plan.
  • Do not use shared hosting or email services for file storage, backup, or archiving unrelated to your website or email operations.
  • Cryptocurrency mining is not permitted on any of our Services.

5. Domains & DNS

  • Domain registrations and transfers must comply with ICANN policies and applicable laws.
  • Do not use domains for abusive, deceptive, or illegal purposes.

6. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account and for securing your credentials.
  • Promptly report any actual or suspected security breaches or policy violations to us.
  • Keep your contact and billing information up to date.

7. Enforcement & Consequences

  • We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP.
  • Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or termination of your account and Services, and/or legal action.
  • We may remove or disable access to content that violates this AUP.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website with a new effective date. Your continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
